Blue Hour, One Car

A forest road, an old car and a sky that had been going blue for twenty minutes. The headlights do most of the work; the trees do the rest.
Waiting it out
I parked a hundred metres back and waited for the light to go the same colour as the paint. When it did, three frames, and then the dark.
Car photography is usually about the car. This is about the road, the hour and the fact that a machine from 1972 still looks like it belongs on it.

The owner drove four hours for a photograph that took three minutes. He knew it would. Anyone who keeps a car like that for fifty years understands waiting.
